Jim Mersereau

Jim Mersereau is a retired Naval Officer. He serves as the Pastor of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Crossville, TN and has also worked as a Family Counselor and as the Pastor of two churches in Southern California. Jim is the former Vice-President of CERT International (The Christian Emergency Relief Teams), which is an international humanitarian relief agency. In that capacity he gained extensive experience at planning international relief efforts and leading short-term medical and dental teams to remote locations around the world. Jim is also the author of the critically aclaimed book, “Bringing It Home: A Post-Trip Devotional Guide for International and Domestic Short-Term Mission Teams. Jim has written for magazines, newspapers, and one of his short stories was published in the Story Teller Magazine. He has been heard on Christian radio in California and Tennessee and also appeared in the film “At Sea”.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Kansas; a Master of Science degree in Instructional Technology from National University; a Master of Arts degree in Biblical Studies from the Southern California Seminary; and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Andersonville Baptist Seminary.

Jim and his wife Linda make their home in Crossville, TN. They have four adult children.
